The Ricks Beading Loom is easy to fully assemble with three warp rods (one is a spare), four warp pegs (one is a spare), a warp separator card and easy-to-follow step-by-step instructions fully illustrated in color to get you started. Sturdy hardwood construction for a lifetime of beading. The ergonomic design lets you to bead at a comfortable, natural angle and lessens strain on your wrists. Fully adjustable from two to twelve inches in length — this allows you to make a variety of projects of nearly any size. A perfect finish every time! You’re left with only TWO WARP THREADS to weave back in after you complete your project. You can use any size or shape bead without any adapters – even mix bead sizes and types in the same project. Create jewelry and wearable art impossible to make on other looms. You can loom with Japanese cylinder beads, seed beads of any size (and mix sizes if you wish). You can loom with two-hole flat beads, bi-cone or fire polished crystals. All without making any changes or installing any adaptors to your loom. MIYUKI Finish/Style Definitions:

  • AB: Rainbow (AB beads, also known as (Aurora Borealis) are typically beads with a rainbow interior or exterior finish)
  • ALAB: Alabaster (Alabaster beads are translucent, with an opal-like exterior finish)
  • CEY: Ceylon (Ceylon beads have a luster Pearl or Opal-like finish. Similar to Opaque Luster beads, Ceylon beads are shiny and have a more subdued finish)
  • CRY: Crystal (Crystal beads are transparent and similar to Inside Color Lined beads with a clear or dyed exterior. Crystal beads may or may not have an AB exterior finish)
  • DURA: Duracoat® (Duracoat® beads have a durable clear exterior coating which is intended for dyed, Silver Lined and Galvanized beads. It’s a thicker/stronger coating than a traditional one, which means the colors will last and retain their brilliance. The Duracoat® coating, unlike TOHO's Perma-Finish coating, will also protect the bead from dulling or flaking)
  • FANCY: Fancy Lined (Fancy Lined beads are typically Transparent, and inside the hole or interior of the bead there is a colored or reflective lining. This combination makes the bead look like it has depth and glow, because light passes through the clear glass and reflects off the inner coating)
  • GALV: Galvanized (Galvanized beads are created using an unstable surface treatment or chemical wash which gives a metallic coating to a transparent bead surface. Galvanized beads are not recommended unless you can't find another bead of a similar color. Duracoat® Galvanized beads have replaced the typical Galvanized bead, and have a much more stable exterior finish)
  • ICL: Inside Color Lined (Color Lined beads are dyed and have a transparent exterior finish with a different color on the interior of the bead)
  • IRIS: IRIS (Iris beads (also known as AB or Arora Borealis are typically Metallic beads with an AB finish on the exterior)
  • LUS: Luster (Luster beads have a pearl-like finish which may also have an AB finish)
  • MET: Metallic (Metallic beads have a Metallic-like exterior finish which may also include an IRIS or AB finish on the exterior of the bead)
  • MA/MT: Matte (Matte beads have a frosted exterior appearance which has been applied using acid or other techniques. Matte beads are available in most finishes including Opaque, Metallic, and Transparent, and may or may not have and AB exterior finish, also known as "Matte AB")
  • OP: Opaque (Opaque beads are typically solid and do not allow light to pass through them. Opaque beads may or may not be dyed, and have a Matte, Semi-Frosted, Luster or AB exterior finish)
  • SS: Silk Satin (Silk Satin beads have a silky interior appearance, however the edges tend to be sharp and require a heavier beading thread (typically size D) to ensure that the beads do not cut the thread)
  • SF: Semi-Frosted (Semi-Frosted beads are not to be confused with Matte beads. Semi-Frosted beads are typically Opaque or Silver Lined and have a softer, subtle finish than typical Opaque beads)
  • SL: Silver Lined (Also known as (Transparent Silver Lined), are beads that typically have a clear, opal or Alabaster exterior finish and a silver-lined interior. Silver Lined beads may or may not be dyed and have an AB, or Sem-Frosted exterior finish)
  • TR/TRANS: Transparent (Transparent beads are typically clear or have a dyed exterior color which allows light to pass through them. They may also have been treated with a Luster exterior coating and may or may not have been treated with a Matte or AB finish as well)
